Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.
SASSA will be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency mentioned it is alarmed concerning the high range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area on a sassa daily basis. The support place produced for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for here the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets click here to permit the servicing of all prospects and raise use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
